'As of 7 July 2021, when you buy any pay monthly phone or SIM plan we’ll make sure you stay connected if your data runs out. You’ll automatically switch to a slower speed (0.5Mbps) when you’ve used your plan allowance, so you’ll still be able to use things like WhatsApp, Maps and messaging apps.'Anyone know when EE reduced the Stay Connected cap from 2 Mbps to 0.5 Mbps?
Just noticed in the app and hoping it doesn't yet apply to my Pay Monthly plan.
Yeah EE being a wee bit on the stingy side there mikeliuk.Shoot, I was going to say how great EE Stay Connected was against Vodafone Unlimited Lite and the ASDA equivalent.
2 Mbps was pretty usable for audio-only Teams meetings, 0.5 Mbps is going to be pushing it.
There's a slight mismatch with plans offered in the app as not all Pay Monthly plans come with Stay Connected, apparently.
Well, 2 Mbps would basically be O2 level of service for free so..Yeah EE being a wee bit on the stingy side there mikeliuk.
It’s still good for audio-only, maybe even a little screen sharing if you're lucky.Shoot, I was going to say how great EE Stay Connected was against Vodafone Unlimited Lite and the ASDA equivalent.
