Possible Disruptions:
In order to have a minimum impact with the changes that we are making
I have arranged for staff and contract engineers to work though the
night for the next few days.
Starting Tonight, Wednesday 6th February 2002
The mail server data is being moved onto a new machine in Manchester.
NO mail should be lost - but there may be an interuption to service
for an hour or so around 2-3am. You will still be able to send email
during this period - but the webmail service and POP3 will be
unavailable for this time.
Starting Tomorrow, Thursday 7th February 2002
The (main) web server is being collected from Basingstoke at about
10pm. It will be down whilst it is transported to Manchester. The web
server WILL be down for several hours - but we are hoping it will be
back on line for 7am and no noticable changes to the users.
