Email Support

I've helped a friend set up Tesco.net Anytime, whilst installing the dialler the computer stopped responding and I had to abort. I telephoned the 50p a minute support and they told me to go to a web site and this did not work, I phoned again and they said use the same URL. Thinking the Tesco.net server was down I left it until the following day.

I emailed support@tesco.net to confirm URL, it has now been 10 days and no reply to my email.

I picked up a CD from local Tesco store and installed dialler from that and my friend is now connected to Tesco.net.

Has anyone else had experience of email support? Do they only reply to tesco.net email accounts? The main reason for advising Tesco.net was that I thought Tesco would provide good service and support to maintain it's brand name but it seems no better than other ISPs.

Tesco support

I've been with tesco.net since Aug 03 and my only complaint is the lack of response to emails to support!
Before I joined I sent a couple of questions from a hotmail email address and got quick replies. The only time I've emailed since being a customer I had to send a total of 3 emails before receiving a reply (and I'd marked the email 'read receipt').
Apart from that I have received very good service and nearly always connect first time. Having said that, it took about 6 attempts today - but their status line on 0800 519 2345 confirmed they know there are problems.
Tesco service is provided by ntl and there are loads of opinions about them!
To answer your final questions - in my experience support is more likely to reply to a non-tesco email address!!!
