Engineer Installed ADSL Products

I am with BT Yahoo with an Engineer Installed connection (free BT offer in the very early days). I have no complaints about BT at all, except cost!, which must be the highest there is.
However in thinking about a cheaper alternative, all the ISP's I can find offering migration, will not accept Engineer installed lines.
Does anyone know of an ISP who will accept a migration with a fixed ADSL input point?
Any guidance appreciated.
Buzzwoody : :(

Migration is on a like for like basis, don't think that anyone offers engineer install anymore which leaves you in a catch 22. This means you will have to cancel with BT and then raise a new order with another ISP, this could mean another install fee but some offer it for free if you stay for 12 months.

Engineer installs were orginally used of home and business, but now isp's generally only accept engineer install for businesses and then you would be classed as a business account and pay higher prices.

So as suggested, cancel your account and then reactivate with another provider.

We migrated our engineer installed ADSL with no problem.

We just contacted BT for Migration code and placed the migration order with our new ISP and (once BT had re-issued us with a correct code  ) the migration went through with no problem.

No one asked whether it was wires only or not?

I maybe incorrect but i think the reason why isps dont like taking on engineer installed adsl is because of the cabling difference.

On bt engineer installs the BT socket faceplate has the filter built-in with a network/adsl port and the normal BT socket.

When users call support it probably causes confusion as some people will try to plug the new filter into the socket as well which wont work.

As long as you are using the old modem still and cables then i guess it will work ok. If the isp dont know you have an engineer install then it will probably work ok.

It should all run as Gotadsl reports. Just get your MAC code from Bt and give it to your chosen ISP. No need to even inform your new Isp that ORinginally you were "Engineer installed" In fact don't mention this point as it will only frighten the horses! - causing confusion . I too use a filtered master socket (much the best way to go)
