Epson printer thingy

Hey peeps,

Just read the other thread on printers..for the record, i have just bought a Epson to replace a Lexmark!!

To my point though, I bought a EpsonRX425..after i have now installed the software i have a little icon on my taskbar stating..safely remove hardware..

upon clickin its says...Safely remove USB mass storage device drive f:

Anyone tell me what all this is about, please?

A quick look at the specifications for this printer tells me that it has a range of memory card readers built in. I would assume that these are being seen as drive f:

It's not anything to worry about. Infact, it's nice that you are able to access your cards from windows while they are in the printer.

The safely remove icon is supposed to be used when you are unplugging a USB device, shutting down the drivers and making sure all data has been written to the device.

Ah!!!

I think i may have discovered it...its a printer with built in card reader..so usb mass storage, that'd be the memory card..right?

Do card readers have similar icons?
