eSIM for upcoming US Holiday

Non US iPhones don't have the mmWave bands which Verizon uses for some of their 5G coverage in built up areas (US Mobile Warp uses Verizon masts).

Personally, I haven't found it a problem with my UK iPhone in the places I've been to but if you are in dense built up areas where demand is high you might notice you struggle to get 5G signal.

"GSM" uses T-Mobile masts instead of Verizon and T-Mobile don't use mmWave.
Ah great. Thanks

Thanks
The GB allowance for $5 is tiny unfortunately. I reckon I'll need about 1-2gb for 4 days in Canada (kids on hotspots etc)
I'm off to New York on monday and am loaded with SIMs. Will advise when I'm there which is the best.
I've got Holafly, Three PAYG, EE and Honest Smart SIM.
Should be able to access 5G on all with my selection. Holalfy's UK eSIM i tested with worked really well which convinced me. 4 of us with unlimited data in the US for a week at £45 in total isn't bad at all.

£6.43 per day unlimited plan for 7 days is not that bad indeed ;)

In the end I just signed up to the Visible free trial using my hotel address

Unlimited data and calls. A US number. Hotspot.

All for freeeeee

Speeds solid enough in up state ny - about 100meg. Manhattan may be different

Oh, I may well do that myself. How do you go about it?

I found out that while the Verizon trial is FULL speed unlimited, it requires flipping your App Store to US etc and I couldn’t bothered
I got the app from an APK so will see if it works or not. Visible refused to offer me an eSIM saying my device wasnt compatible with eSIM on their website even though it is. The Verizon app cleared it as compatible so will see when I land.
