Ex customer of Gio Internet, CustomNet, Garner and now Pulse8 wont let me go !!!

Ok i dont know if i'm th only person to have this problem or not but this seems a good a place as any to maybe find out.
As a Ex customer of Gio Internet, moving to CustomNet, then onto Garner and then having a letter from Pulse8 some months back ihave had a real bad time over the years with all this moving around and trouble at each changed over.
As a service all the ISP's were great and it was a shame that they just could not make a go of it.

Now it may seem strange what i'm going to say and maybe some users dream but it's a living hell to someone like me that uses the internet to provide a service and operate websites based all over the world so need fast and stable connection at home which i can use to keep them running and sort any problems as they arise.

Since i refused to take Pulse8's offer of there new connection when Garner went under and may attempts to get a mac code from Netservice and Pusle8 i gave up and refused there offer and was informed that we would be disconnected after 14 days.
Well heres the thing I'M STILL ON LINE AND NOT PAYING ANYONE FOR A 2MBIT SERVICE.
Sounds good yeh !!!! well no as the service i have stops me going to a new ISP and being able to upgrade to a faster connection. The service i have from god knows where and god knows who is down 99% of the time and the longest i can stay connected is at best 30mins then line drops and maybe upto 2 hours before it reconnects again.

I have sent many Emails to Pulse8 and Netservices and as yet i'm yet top even get reply as to why i seem to be held to ransom on there service or none service !!!.

After my last phone calls and the one email i had saying that if i said anything against them they would take legal action i feel i have nothing to lose now after this many months.

As a internet webmaster of a large site running 13 servers based all over the world if any of my hosts acted like these people are they would no longer be in biz after a month.

I have now given them 7 days to get it sorted on my last email to Pulse8 or i will take legal advice as to the money i have had to spend out on getting other staff to keep the site and servers updated and running and other losses i may be able to claim for.

Mr D J Hine (Pissed off customer of ????) LOL

Why don't you just contact BT and have the “marker” removed from the line. You'll then be able to have it connected to a supplier of your choice.

See HERE

It prob will have some down time doing it that way but it will allow you to go to any other isp you want but make sure its not NS but i have heard that NS are being bought out by a better company so might be worth while staying where you are and seeing how it pans out over the next few free months :P

Edited to fix the link only.

GIO were a great company at the time and in my working in a local computer shop got a large number of customers for them due to there pricing and service when running.

As with all these companys there service while running has been far better then many other ISP i hear about from customers in the computer trade.
As to getting a better host such as a business package this was not needed as the access to the internet being a critical factor is a new thing in the last year.
When you start a website you never know that it may grow to such a level as needing constant work and updates on a 24/7 basis.
As to getting the marker removed by BT i have tried that and as soon as you say ADSL they say contact your ISP LOL which as i say i dont know for sure as not being billed and yet still on line.

I wish to goto pipex on there top package on as close to 8Mb as i can...They also say they cant help me due to a service already being on the line.

Bit off topic but considering you post here, nice website ;)

Ok state of play so far.....

Contacted BT in respect to the Tag owner on my line.
Number first given Pipex was for Providers only and not end users. (Took 2 days to get them to answer the phone ??)
Once there they gave me the End user number to phone.
They informed me that it was tagged to Net Services and that they were the ISP i have to contact.Having already been there some months before in respect to a Mac code which was not forth coming.I alrerady knew that they are a provider and wont even talk to end users about there problems.
I did phone them as it was a last resort to get this sorted.
After a half hour convo with the woman on the end of the phone she relented and put me in touch with some body higher up then herself.

Once there I told him of the problem that i was still getting a internet service for free and it was not wanted as i wanted to go else where.
he took my phone number which was checked and still found not to be on there database of customers and network ????
I then gave them the Network number BT had given me also ...The net services was then able to tell i was still on the system but the telephone number was wrong and was 2 years out of date ??? (maybe a good way to get free interent in the future LOL change Tel. No. and not inform ISP !!!!!)
They now say it will be disconected ASAP but that was still 4 days ago now and it's still conected....
Just hope that they hurry up as a internet connection thats on and off every 20mins or so is of no use to me even if free....LOL

As a sub note .....Which isp do you suggest to me....

Must be high usage freindly as some days downloading the most possable in a 24 hour time frame at the connections top speed. they say 4.5 max on my line ??? at present 2.
Good service is a must....
Price i dont mind on price it's speed and service and bandwidth i look for.(but not silly this is still a home connection !!!)
Our exchange has not been opened up as yet so anything over the 8mb via ISP's own gear is a big NO NO at this time.
No traffice shaping if possable !!!

Ok a quick update...LOL

I'm still online and still not being charged PMSL
Connection now a lot more stable and only go offline 1-3 times a day now.
I ordered a connection via another ISP in a hope they can sort it out.
To date no change over so phoned them to cancel the contract i set up with them as they are not able to keep there end of it in providing a Broadband connection as there salesman had said they could do and they could handle the migration over to them !!!
That was 2 weeks ago and still no where ???? LOL WHAT A MESS

BUT I AM STILL GETTING FREE 2MB CONNECTION LOL

I hope Netservice sort there mess out soon or they sell out and leave some one else to sort it out.
I'm hammering there bandwidth at the moment as i dont pay and downloading/uploading 24/7 flat out LOL
I hope may bandwidth costs them big as it's of there own making.

If anyone can suggest a nice ISP for when i do get released from this mess it would be good.
Must be high speed 8+ and ni limits or at least a very good limit for downloading and upload.

Are you also getting free connection stil via your old account.
If so insure you contact and keep a written or proof that you have contacted them in case they later chase you for any monies owing due to the bandwidth used during such a time.
As long as they leave me lik ethis on a free conection and unable to move the account to another ISP i'm hammering them 24/7 on my downloads and uploads.
If they dont want to play ball and release me from this hell then they will have to pay via bandwidth loss as much as i can take from them.

Thing is when i do get to change over who i go with i dont know.
So much small print and hard to find details on usage levels these days.

Uncapped and unlimited LOL M8's on Demon Biz and now been told paying £25 a month still wont let him have more then 50Gb a month PMSL
Now resticted for 30 days at peak times and if usage still over the top resticted for another 30 days LOL

If anyone has any good isp's with good limites if any and faster then normal upload speeds would be good let me know..

Still online -----since June 21st 2006 !!!!!!!
Connection crap .....
Have now started getting legal advice due to this and as of the 17-01-2007
They have said it will be clear and i can signup with a new ISP.
If they fail to do so my legal advisor has instructed me to carry out the legal procedings he has outlined already.

The problems were not of NetService's making in the first place but the shear lenght of time they are/have taken to sort this matter is, and i will be claiming for money lost having to hire Server Hosts for a managment contract to keep my sites servers running and updated and any other money a court may think is just.

BT have been of no help in removing the netservices tag from my line even when asked and also 3 ISP's have also tried in vain to sort this matter out.

Roll on the 17th and i hope i am clear of this crap service once and for all....
Warning to all ADSL customers if your supplier gets there service via Netservices steer clear ....BIG TIME
