I was amazed to see that from one side of my house I can lock on to 1 to 2 bars of 5G with a really basic Samsung work phone. The speeds even with 1 bar are in excess of 250mb/sec and with 2 bars getting towards 400mb/sec.
All seems very impressive (as the area I live in has poor speeds from O2, VF and EE) right until you check the upload. I've done checks at multiple points in the day and upload can be as low as 0.01kbps, averaging <1mb/sec and only peaking to 2mb/sec at some points.
Is there a technical reason for this, or is this just not enough bandwidth allocated on the upload? Shame as with those download speeds it flies, but then if you wanted to make a FaceTime or Teams call, you'd have a terrible experience.
