Farewell IDnet

I have been an IDnet VDSL2 (laterly SoGEA) customer since 2010 but with the arrival of XGS-PON to my address I've contacted them to cease their service.

I can't fault their support which has been excellent from day one and it is only due to the arrival of XGS-PON and much superior speeds that I'm parting with IDnet.

If anyone is looking for a customer-focused ISP with amazing technical support I can thoroughly recommend IDnet. Whenever I've needed to speak to them it's simply been a case of calling them and the phone is answered by someone who actually knows what they're talking about and is clearly tech-minded. No cumbersome menus, no bots, just a human being on the end of the telephone who knows what they're talking about.

They even let me keep my IDnet email address for no charge as a parting gift.

I can very much second this recommendation for them.

I was very impressed throughout my time with them on the CityFibre infrastructure too. Even when my time was up with them and I needed to cancel it was great. No hassle or interrogation when I told them I wanted to leave. They simply told me "You've already paid up until X Date. Would you like that to be your last day with us or cancel sooner and get a refund?". Then asked me if I was transferring the line or ceasing it altogether. Then they thanked me for being a customer and sent an email confirmation of the cancellation.

I wish that all companies would be this simple and transparent when you have to contact them.

I can only echo the above regarding cancellation. I emailed them at 11 AM yesterday and they replied at 1 PM thanking me with a quick question about what day I would like to be my last. Simple as that.

Agree, they have very good support. I contacted in email.
Had a feeling, they have nothing to do as got reply from them very fast and professional.

Like that they have also 1, 12 month contracts.
Looks, they also not raising prices every year, that hated CPI +... rubbish.

So far, I'm also very happy!

Let's hope we see providers pop up like this on Nexfibre in the future. Not having to deal with Virgin could result in a decent product :D

I'm with you on this - Having been through so many providers over the past 25 years I have to say that IDnet are one of the best, if not the best!

I'm moving to You for XGS-PON too so that my only reason however You just damaged my OR cable and fobbed me off. A quick call to IDnet and they have OR on their way first thing this morning.

Everytime I've had to contact IDnet they have been superb. The service has been superb and all the info you need is on the customer portal which is superb!

I love you IDnet and I hope we meet again!
