Fast24/Domainbuster Domains

Just an update I have been in contact with nominet my domain has not been renewed with them as yet but Fast24 took the money back on 10th feb for renewal and nothing has been done phone lines are engaged always and have sent emails but no reply what is happening to the does anyone know? I have almost given up, now put the wheels in motion to claim the money back from Visa, its beyond a joke now.

Well that’s is my domain has been suspended, I notice some post around December they must have forgotten to renew their own domain what chance had I got and I notice that some people never had reminders that their domains were going to expire. I have had no contact at all from them I feel totally let down.

You should be able to do it through Nomnet and get the ISPTAG changed, will cost around £15 from information given to me tonight.

I have tried to draw this thread to the attention of the Fast 24 staff but still no response. Seems to have changed a lot since Jason left I was told it was all working well but I will leave that to others personal opinions.

I have no contact with the new person in charge and only heard he used to work for Telefonica before they sold out to NS.

Thanks for the replies, just deciding what to do next I did speak to nominet yesterday and found there would be a £15 charge to change the agent, what realy annoys me is the lack of communication, perhaps if their is anyone going to register a domain through Domainbuster here is a word or warning do not do it! hopefully I will have the paperwork next week to claim the money back from visa, I think I will be sending Fast24/Domainbuster a fax next week whether it will do any good who knows.

I hadn't noticed any problem with domain email until this weekend (I'm out of the country weekdays) but today I booked flights using my domain email as confirmation address. 10 hours later, still no confirmation.
I've submitted an enquiry to F24 (incidentally, have you noticed how the range of enquiries has reduced?) but as it's a weekend and I won't be around for a week I don't expect any immediate reply.
I also mentioned domain renewal and expecting some feedback from them. Naturally, I said that if I didn't hear from them I would assume they were not to be relied upon. Anybody think this will force a response?

Further evidence of incompetence. Tried emailing myself but got this:

host thatcher.larknet.co.uk[217.10.137.164]
said: 553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed
rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

About the 23rd Feb my emails started bouncing. It turned out that my domain had lapsed without any warning from Domainbuster, so I quickly went to their site and used the domain name renewal page to renew it, and, to be on the safe side phoned them to let them know, and ask how long it would take, they say 1 to 3 days.
About a week later still no email, gave them a ring and asked if there were any problems with the renewal they said no and it takes 1 to 3 days (yes I know)(man is very rude).
1st march get an email marked urgent to say my domain is about to expire, (yes I know!) same day onto the fast24 site to update my account details, it's been dragging on so long my debit card is about to expire, but the update details web page doesn’t work! I raise a "ticket" with "customer services" to let them know. 6th March they must of finally got round to renewing my domain because I get another email "Unfortunately the credit/debit card, for which you supplied details, has been declined", YES I KNOW!, It was valid 2 weeks ago when you should of done it! Ring Domainbuster very first thing in the morning, 9:05am, to give my new card details, Fast 24 answer, because “ they always come in late on a Monday!”, he says he will take my details and pass them on when they turn up!
13th march they must of got round to renewing my domain again because my card is debited.
18th March. Email still not working, not answering phone now, also emails to support not being answered, pop32.fast24.net server and Domainbuster webmail not working “INVALID USER ID OR PASSWORD” for the past few days.
Tried to change the IPSTAG today, any idea what a drc is?
I don’t hold up much hope.

His wife was Amerincan I was told and he has gone to America.

As for the new boss I dont know much about him but I am sure any ISP rep will know of him he used to work for Telefonica right till the end.

Jason will be a hard person to replace he was a special person and alwaysa responded when I said we needed help. I have sent links on a few occasions seen the fast24 rep online but it seems tehy are on a no posting time as they have not posted in any I have sent.

Hi guys,

Fast24 appear to have an issue with their primary mail server. If you were to look up the MX records for your domainbuster domain you would probably see two incoming mail servers listed:

churchill.larknet.co.uk
thatcher.larknet.co.uk

churchill is the primary server, BUT it isn't listening on port 25 (SMTP) to process email. thatcher is the secondary server, it IS listening on port 25 but will not accept email for domainbuster domains (I thought it might only be me that was effected, but seeing you guys having problems it looks like its more widespread) because they are not defined in its list of valid domains.

I emailed Fast24 about this on Friday night (not using flaky Fast214 services obviously), got an automated response. I phoned them and spoke to a bloke called Stacy on Saturday afternoon who seemed completely clueless. Said he would ring me back. Didn't. Didn't fix the problem. Didn't answer the phone again after that. Probably went home for the day. Top customer service!

I emailed them a load more detail yesterday.

Really really fed up with them, gonna move providers as soon as possible, and obviously transfer my domain away from domainbuster. Even if I switched ISP's, if I left my domain with domainbuster I'd still be relying on Fast24 servers to do the email forwards and its those very same servers that are knackered right now.

Fast24 seem completely incapable of resolving what appears to be a very simple issue, which given they are meant to be an ISP is alarming!

You will have m,ore control over your domain if you use www.123-reg.co.uk I moved mine there and they email you when its time to renew them.

You have a cpanel to work with for your domains and can point them to any hosting you like changing them when ever you need to.

I have now sent my 3rd transfer request to these shysters. After the 2nd they had the gall to send me a renewal notice. I am supposed to sign in on the F24 home page and check my invoices for what I am renewing but guess what? After signing in I don't see my invoices, instead -
An unexpected error occurred: No default and no address for database MainMenu.fp5.
How can I force them to transfer my domain? Or should I just let it lapse and then register with another host?

i dont think its a good idea register your domain with ur ISP! look for a dedicated registrar like UKREG!
