Fast4 keep away from everyone!

rang fast4 this morning to cancel my account to get my mac code they said it would take up to 5 days to get the code, canceld my account due to having no internet access for 5 weeks engineer came around to try and sort it he said the line was fine and it had nothing to do with bt it was the providers server or whatever thats down anyway canceld this morning then i get an e-mail to say that a payment will be taken out for a cancelation cost how the HELL can they try and charge me £33.82 for a cancelation fee when i have only had internet access for 1 month when i sighned up and 5 nearly 6 weeks now i havent had any access to the internet can i go to trading standards about this and are they aloud to try and shaft me again ?what shud i do people any ideas carnt beleave they have charged me a cancelation fee .

Not sure what you do with this, Im thinking you shouldnt have cancelled until it was sure you wouldnt get charged, due to them failing to give you a service.

However, what you could do is write a letter asking them exactly what they are charging you for, as they did not fullfill their side of the contract in providing you a service.

I presume you went through their tech support (via phone or tickets), what was the end result there?

had to cancel was doing my head in was getting no feedback off them with whats going on and getting no internet acces whatsoever, just couldnt beleave it that they have taken a cancelation charge off me when i have not been receiving the service i had been paying for, yes went threw there tech support was ringin them nearly every day, had loads of tickets raised on my account but just having them writing its going to a higher level must be at tony blaires level by now haha

This is the internal ticket about this situation....

A engineer has been to the property of this EU the fault is not with the BT OpenReach line this was established however the EU or BT Engineer could not log on to anything with either the BT test details or the Fast4 log in details this was not an issue localised to his machine as he tried to connect also on the BT engineers laptop.

I am going to find out exactly what is the fault and you will be getting a full refund.
