(Move to Fast4 forum maybe)

So Fast4 now have become a capped packages ISP and they have added the link: 'Start a Virtual ISP' which of course Links to NJP Services where shockingly the blonde womans head is still advertising:

Unlimited broadband for
only £16.95 a month with
no annual contract and
free migration.'

Unlimited!!! - When they are now exclusively a capped packages ISP and have taken a leaf out of Plusnets book with the link: 'looking for unlimited broadband? find out why its not here...' and of course their explanation which is just cringe worthy especially with the guy holding up the dialogue box which used to be advertising Unlimited but now asks quality or quantity!, - quantity - Fast4, yeah right!

And still exisiting users have no ideas what will happen to them and no one from Fast4 but Paul (who admitted he didnt know what would happen!) has made any real sense of the situation for users.

Seriously cannot see Fast4 surviving, the price points are a joke now, no way Fast4 can provide quality and since its high prices now but supposed quality I cannot see anyone choosing them.

anyone remember the story of the boy that cried wolf?

well this seems to be the story of an ISP that cried "we dont have an FUP, a monthly contract, and we dont know the first thing about running a network.. please sign up with us as and we will charge you for an un-usable service"

Did wonder why the OP hadn't put this in the Fast4 forum - then realised that they have remained anonymous => can't post anywhere but here......

....not sure I approve of such disparaging comments being made anonymously - but each to your own conscience

actually he isnt anonymous lm pretty sure this is DTXT who was banned... also the same guy who swore by them until his connection went down the pan along with the rest of us who shared the same network.

You could be correct timeless - hadn't thought of DTXT as the OP to this thread.

I'm all for freedom of expression and opinion - I just don't like anonymous insults being posted at anyone's expense.

It is indeed who you think but if I put my name to it probally would have been slated, the first few months of Fast4 were excellent but the many things that followed, we we all know the story.

I am sure Paul will make sure the piece on njp services gets changed but its not good enough, it all leaves you asking what kind of ISP is this and I leave you to form your answers...

OK so, we've gone from:

"We'll never have a fair use policy"

to

"We dont have a fair use policy"

to

"We do have a fair use policy"

to

"ISPs who operate fair use policies are evil..."

I'm confused...

If that's what they think, why not let those still on their "unlimited" service download what they want?

makes me wonder if Fast4 have partnered up with Microsoft lol

Sorry to bring this thread up again but incredibly the woman on njpservices is still advertising unlimited broadband!

I took Farce4 to the ASA and along with quite a few complaints the ASA warned Farce4 to change their advertising, if they haven't done this the ASA could fine them so lets hope they do as a lesson, the best thing I ever did was leave them yes I do get traffic managed now that I am on Virgin dsl but atleast I know where I stand

more than Farce4

There is a link on NJP services website that claims unlimited bb, but it links to Fast 4, which is now quite clear about the service limitations.

I guess they forgot to update the NJP website.

The ASA don't deal with false claims on a company's own websites, they only cover paid-for advertising.

If you have a complaint about false or misleading claims on a company's own web site, then Trading Standards are the proper body to complain to.

actually check the website forum, mel posted some info (i think it was mel) saying that the ASA had come to a conclusion that they were happy with... in short they removed the asked terms out of the banner, whats left here is supposed to be acceptable, lve got adblock plus so now lve blocked the banner lol.. in short who the ASA doesnt limit the lies they tell on their website that would be a trading standards issue l believe.. and lm not wasting my phone bill to complain about them this time.

I should have said that the advert I complained about was in WebUser Magazine also may I add that Virgin are as bad as Farce4 (Typical) I was only getting 7kbs lol so now have moved once again to BE "HEAVEN" (well apart from tech support) excellent speeds no caps and g8 reviews...so far so good

as long as l watch myself at peak times Virgin hasnt been too bad of late..
