Fatcat cut-off redten customers?

I suppose this is one good reason why you dont get a long contract to get a cheap PC and internet bundle..

Will this be the third time now they have been disconnected?

Yep, third time and I'm completely lost as to whom actually owns Redten because Fatcat was pretty much run by Clode, which also funded Redten. So what, Clode can't afford to pay itself? Eh? :) .

Yep it is confusing, I'm not entirely sure but I thought it might be the fourth! - I think it went something like this:-

Redten were originally owned by watford electronics, which went bust, and redten "brand" was sold off.

They were then relaunched and BT eventually pulled the plug because of non-payment - or I think redten claimed that redten customers were unhappy with BT's service.

Then most? of Redten's customers were moved to NJP services - which seems to be when their customers really started complaining about the service.

Then Redten was wound-up and I think some of their customers were cut-off (the ones that paid in advance for the PC).

Then the remainder were "transfered" to Fatcat which is/was a NJP visp/reseller - presumably set-up and funded by Clode so they wouldn't have to write-off the loans for the "Free" PCs due to their joint liability for the contract under the Consumer Credit Act.

So presumably NJP (Breathe?) provided the support. So I'd guess that Clode pulled the funding and NJP pulled the plug?

My head hurts!

Yes just imagine the stress they have been put through since they signed up to this rip off.

Easier to pay a bit extra and not end up dieing of a heart attack by age 50.

looks like the redten saga could be almost over - http://www.thinkbroadband.com/news/3840-redten-customers-finally-free.html

RedTen Internet customers may finally be free following further non-payment to their supplier NJPServices who operate virtual ISP solutions.

Reports on the moneysavingexpert.com forums are reporting that Clode, the finance company who are behind RedTen Internet, are releasing customers from contracts and allowing them to gain a MAC to migrate services away. Users should expect to see a page when trying to access the Internet that will give them the option of getting a MAC or migrating their service to Breathe Internet.

Looks like the MAC option isn't available though:- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=17665177#post17665177

The truth is out there .... but not near a certain B/B
Phoned Breathe and basically they claimed they had placed a cease order last week on all our accounts and that is why cannot give a MAC code.
Strange - why was the web page only made available last night (complete with spelling mistakes) and gave the option of getting MAC code? Why weren't we told we were being disconnected?

Why the option available to the 15th?

I think OFCOM ought to be told.

Can anyone give me a convincing reason why I would sign up with Breathe?
