FFTP Install Types

Hi all, FTTP has recently become available for my property.

Can anyone please explain the install type based on the attached screenshot of my dslchecker?

Curious if any of this information relates to ground works that might need to take place, even though I can see the current cabling pop up through a visible duct in the flower bed by the porch.

Thanks.

The engineer will normally explain what they can do during a survey. By the sounds of it yours would be an underground install, so it's a case of where you want the cable to run and the indoor box fitted.

Thanks for the reply. We already have a duct with the copper cabling popping up by the front door, so I presume/hope they can use that same duct and just replace the cable that’s fed through.

With my ducting they just pulled the fibre through alongside the copper, which was left in place (and subsequently turned on, as I disconnected years ago).

Exception may be if that little duct is damaged, too old or doesn't have enough space.

Yup, they will. In rare cases, that duct maybe blocked, so they may put in another one, but normally they will use what is there and known to be available.
