reading up.
"For HP" worries me, why did they have to mention that? I know there are certain cards that only works on HP laptops, possibly the one dabigm bought recently that we all struggled to get working.

It's got a built-in esim, the Linux modem manager package team are having to add support for these for laptops etc.

Should these Fibocom Modems work 'out of box' when connected to a Windows PC? I can see there is some work going on for Linux/rOOter, but also that they are standard in some HP and Lenovo laptops.
So just wondering if I pop this in a Seeed Odyssey x86 SBC if it will just work - I don't have the skills to contribute any form of unlocking it if not!

Same thing is in the Zyxel NR5103, which uses a Openwrt base and Mediatek specific tweaks.

I've ordered as I'm not taking a Zyxel locked down router when this is going for next to nothing and I can pester Mikrotik for support.

Admittedly, I'm completely novice when it comes to these modules.

It states 4x4 MIMO, is that for 4G AND 5G?

Can the antenna ports be used for both 4G and 5G?

What routers can you use these with?

It's an m.2 module.

So you could use it with a router that has a m.2 module:
Example m.2 router

Mikrotik sell a range of routers with m.2 slots, or I could build a pc or something similar.

How does the interface between the router and modem work software wise?

Ah yes - I've looked over the miktotik offerings recently, specifically the LHG offerings and the dish style LTE setups but none of them have B32 support so never looked further.

So, could I essentially get an LHG kit it similar and swap out the modem for one of these?

Essentially, although I have the rbm11g:

My LHG has B32 support but that's because I've put a quectel em12-g in it.

Damn, heads filling up with ideas now.

Might have to buy that towel back..
