Hi,
I am new here and in the process of moving to a new house. The problem is the new development is Persimmons home and the only available ISP is fibrenest which the prices a bit high for the package which I may choose (£31pm)
That is where alternative is Mobile broadband. The only problem is all providers does not allow me to take out a 4g/5g broadband package and I will need to buy my own router (Archer 600) and a unlimited sim.
My family member has 3g unlimited data and the speed is cr*p, under 10mbps down. That being said, they do offer the cheapest price. I was doing a speed test on my EE network and it went over 70down. The test was performed at my current address. I have not tried in the new home yet.
I am tempted to choose EE but at the same time, the price is £40 and fibrenest which I think they use fibre optic. When I think about, I am paying £20 for Vodafone Superfast 2 with a 40-47mbps down and satisfied.
I am stressed with the limited options and the future of Isp in regards to, if BT , virgin and similar will install cables or will it ever be limited to Fibrenest and their pricey internet speeds . Thank you
