Films and such, what are you watching and recommending?

What are you watching these days, anything nice/interesting?

I am watching Slow Horses, The Lazarus Project and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. They all seem pretty ok.

Currently in the process of working through all the seasonal films with the family…. It’s getting boring now to be honest.

Was recently watching Gen V (The Boys spin-off) with a one month free trial of Amazon Prime. 'Twas very good.

Personally, I enjoyed The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, Rachel Zegler was very good, although Part III wasn't so well paced.

Need to watch Napoleon with a cheap Cinema Society Club ticket.

I think Slow Horses is pretty hilarious.

I enjoyed Apple TV+ Shining Girls and Mythic Quest.

Disney+ Loki is very good.

I get really bored with the latest stuff available these days, so every now and then I binged on the old stuff, which I'm currently doing.

Last week or so, I've watched (Films) -

K-Pax (classed as Sci-Fi, but it's not really)
Enemy at the Gates (True Story, Russian Snipper WW2)
K-19 (True Story, Russian Cold War Submarine)
Flight of the Phoenix (Entertainment, 2004 version)
The Prestige (Entertainment, Two Magicians)
Green Mile (Entertainment, Tom Hanks)
Shutter Island (Entertainment, Leonardo Dicaprio)

All great Films in my book and worth watching again.

Silo is amazing, as is Severance. They both need their sequels asap.

Morning show is brilliant!

Only one I couldn’t click with is Mythic Quest, not my thing.

Slow Horses I binge watched this last week and up to date, great stuff.

Also watching For Mankind on Apple.

I think I watched them all at some point, great films indeed.
I just listened recently to the K-pax soundtrack, it's brilliant.

Yea, couldn't agree more on the K-pax soundtrack, probably the only Film I've bothered to buy the CD Soundtrack aswel, my favourite is Taxi Ride, wack it through some decent AV or HiFi with some Subase, brilliant, also Cerol Crow track at the end is cool (Safe and Sound, K-Pax Version).

When K-Pax first came out, there were two reported endings (Alternative Endings) but I remember at the time searching all over the place for the second Ending, without success.

I was not aware of the alternative ending. Haven't encountered it in my travels. :)

That said I forgot even the "main" ending, time to rewatch it I guess. :)

Started watching "Sweet tooth".
Interesting take on the usual dystopian/apocalyptic motif, watched a few episodes, decent.

I always enjoyed detective/crime drama, even light hearted ones like Father Brown, so I'm interested to see some set not in the usual British village:
Signora Volpe and Murder in Provence.

And last, but not least looking forward to season s04 from True Detective.
I have to say I was deflated by seasons 2 and 3 of the show, maybe also because season 1 was some of the most amazing TV I've watched and set the bar high.

Apple TV+ "Criminal Record" and BBC iPlayer "Vigil" are both very good.

NOW TV "The Lazarus Project" was interesting to have in the background and the first season was recently available for free on YouTube.
