Finally fibre is coming

The last week there was some digging starting down Millview Road Heckington. I assumed it was Quickline again, but turns out it is Virgin Media. Cutting up the pavements down Millview Road and Orchard Drive installing fibre cables.
Nexfibre, where Symmetrical speeds are an extra £6 a month because money

£6 is cheap compared to what you'd need to spend with Openreach to get 1Gbit symmetric. Granted, you'd be getting a superior product with an EAD, but £300 a month? Yeah, no thanks.

only cost me £6 to double my speed from 1gig>2gig >.<

What’s is your upload speed on that? I think you’ll find symmetrical speeds are an “add on”
2000 upload,

I signed up for 500/500 for £39(£33+£6 addon) upgraded to 1gig with volt, then few months later I was bored and thought I'd ask if they had any deals for 2gig, totally expecting them to say " we have an amazing deal of £90" but nope, was told £6 extra lol, even asked them if that included the upload addon and sure as ****, it did lol, I took screenshots of the live chat and everything haha as I did not believe it at all!

So overal £45 for 2000/2000

(theres a speed test link in my siggy)

That’s a very good price! In comparison, my connection (2.3gb/1gb (GPON areas) would be £50

I need to upgrade my WiFi and switch to go 2.5gb which I am planning on doing

That was interesting to follow along 🙂
Very pleased for you all who have got the FTTP.
I find £5 a month for a static IP a bit Ryanairy though. I know Sky and BT are the same but it's fairly extortionate for what it is.
