Not a major thing, but I've been puzzling this year about who is doing the build work for my areas fibre broadband. I'm in the small market town of Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire.
Are there any websites that list this information?
What sparked this question is that since mid 2022, FullFibre announced (picked up by ISPreview) they'd taken the contract to build the fibre network in my area, updating the exchanges at the neighbouring towns/village of Todmorden, Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd as a group.
This year I got an email update from FullFibre, that planning was now complete and work would start soon. Then in the summer there were a few road closures, as new ducts were put in or fibre cables laid into existing ducts, by workmen in Zzoomm fibre high viz jackets.
I then saw an article on ISPreview for Nexfibre in July this year, on their additional build plans and Hebden Bridge and Todmorden are listed in their, with 2025/26 completion dates, but not Mytholmroyd.
So is this still a project managed by FullFibre and they've contracted out the build work to Nexfibre?
Really getting my head around the whole contracting out process, since it's a rural build to small towns, there's not a lot of profit to be had.
Cheers
