Firefox 3.0

Who finds slow loading this last version of firefox... I tested it for about 3 weeks but I gave up and went back to the previous version. It seems that it has a major problem with google and gmail.

The other problem that I had is that cos it's so new, some of my adds on were not compatible with version 3.0

some minor issues with CPU usage, but the addons l use are starting to roll out only a couple left to wait on really..

Not noticed any problems with Google or GMail, it seems to load in about the same time as previous version.

Did you try starting Firefox in safe mode to see if its any of your addons/plugins causing the slow loading?

Having used FF3 for awhile now I'd say it's better than FF2 but I still prefer Opera.

Firefox 3.0.1 should have sorted out a lot of problems.

My browser was crashing quite a lot especially when reading gmail.

No problems since the update. :)

I didn't notice any issues with 3.0 - in fact I'm using it right now because it hasn't auto-updated.

Tried using 3 under Fedora. Too many problems. Reverted to 2. I'll wait a while until it settles down. Interesting that it still isn't in the official Fedora repositories.

I would rather use Opera than Firefox, but unless Roboform is ever made to work with Opera until then its a no go for me :(

I noticed with the last pre release. that if any part of the page failed to download, a thumbnail, gif or advert etc; it would keep trying to download that file, even after I changed page or closed it.
That meant graphic heavy pages could cause big problems if they were not loading from the server correctly, ie during busy parts of the day.

Seems to be okay, prefer FF2 though, and I really don't like the drop down menu in the address bar, my old one brang up google when I typed in g but this one brings up other things :(
