Firewall on or off in one router going into another situation?

My setup is Huawei b818 and Three 4g+ hub > TP Link Load balancing router > Deco M5 mesh system (in AP mode).
The system Is working pretty well, but the Three hub hasn’t got bridge mode and the Huawei just won’t work in this this system In bridge mode. The load balancing router has its own firewall, so I’ve turned the firewalls off in the Three hub and 818. Is this wise?

A flimsy consumer router's firewall gives a little protection. Disabling removes this protection. Outer and upstream routers forming the perimeter are very important for security. I'm not aware of TP-Link being praised for their firewall functionality.

That’s a ‘turn them back on then’?
Mind you, mikeliuk, it’s ( the TP Link ER605) supposed to be a business router, not consumer. Does that make a difference? Do the firewalls interfere with each other if there’s more than one In operation at the same time?

That's like a business quality door to your living room but no door leading from the outside to your business quality door.

A firewall is essentially a door stopping disallowed traffic.

There's nothing fundamentally wrong with an activated firewall on a consumer Huawei, Zyxel, Netgear or other brand of router.

No, correctly configured firewalls will not interfere as this is security in depth at work. Incorrectly configured firewalls could block desired traffic but typically this still makes you safer.

Thanks and duly noted.
