Happens on 5G and home connection
Doesn't happen all that often on mixed 5G (NSA) here. can't test on SA indoors as it never connects long enough, and if it does, it says the website is unreachable (no throughput at all despite being a band that's supposed to reach quite far. N28.

Home connection is just fine most of the time here as well, despite being 2.4ghz wifi 4.

Can slow occasionally, but kind of expected. It was outdated back in 2013/2014 and very outdated by the time we got it (2017) - was even found to have security vulnerabilities in 2021/2022 from a Which? survey by lacking in security and firmware updates.

At points I've seen the same on the home wifi, but it's usually when there's some kind of latency spike greater than 250ms or so. (of which QoS would help fix, since based on bufferbloat tests it's uploads which make latency spike so much, downloads at max only spike by around +50ms. not really noticeable even when gaming)

Don't know if is right place, anyone else getting this on mobile Chrome?
Never seen that before.

Probably isn't said enough but huge respect to Mark for keeping this forum running. Recently gained access to moderation permissions on a Discourse server with 3000+ users and it is NOT an easy job. And, you have to remember that there's just 2 staff on this forum iirc (compared to about 11 on the server I moderate, although only 3 actually active) and the fact that Mark juggles this with reporting on news too.

Yep, noticed this earlier and thought maybe it's on my end. I think it's probably ad related.

Oh and it's off again

It's definitely to do with ads that's for sure - have you maybe tried another browser? or maybe incognito to see if that has the same issue? if it doesn't show up in incognito, or a different browser then it's something within the main side of the browser you're using (I'm assuming it is Chrome)

So my suggestion to clear cache for ispreview might need to extend to clearing cache for the hostname(s) of the ad network

I think it's possibly that a particular ad is trying to load in a way that modern browsers and website rules do not allow (incorrectly configured), which leads to elements within the ad not being rendered. Ad networks usually tackle these within a few days and clearing cache can help, but at the weekend it might not get spotted right away. I'll see if I can replicate it myself.
