Free version of AVG 7 released

I use AVG7, no problems at all. but that maybe because I don't use the email scanner.

I have been using AVG for a number of years with no problems, and have always used the email scaner with both outlook and Pegasus mail also with no problems.

ROFL. I was reading this topic thinking I had to upgrade my AVG. I checked my AVG and it was already version 7.XX.

I read this post again and noticed the date. 2004. :/

I've given up with AVG. I used it for months without a problem, then it insisted on rebooting after every update (sometimes twice a day).

I now use Avast.

Mine did that on one occasion as well, I just deleted it, then re installed it, it has been fine ever since.

i use Clamwin on two of my machines, where does that stand as compared to AVG 7 ?

I tried that and it made no difference. Also, it started happening on 2 other people's machines at roughly the same time. I've just moved them over to Avast as well.
