From 80mbps to 2

So, as the title says, I've gone from speeds of between 80-100 down to 2 up and 0.8 down, and that's on a good day!

Over the last week, the internet has just crippled. I have called ISP and they are telling me that nothing is wrong on their end. The router (CAT 19 Huawei B818-263) has full signal bars and has not moved since a week ago.

Yet, still I struggle to get any support from my ISP, they don't answer my emails, I can only speak to level 1 support who keeps telling me to reboot the router and place it upside down and then back the right way etc etc.

I am rural, saying I'm connected to the correct tower. When I first purchased wireless broadband it was SUPER fast and has slowly with time just been going down hill in terms of speed and reliability.

Any ideas?

Thanks

That's some great signal. Have you tried putting the sim in your smartphone, any difference? Just to rule out the Huawei router.

Who owns the mast eg Three/EE/O2/Voda and who is the ISP. Signal levels are really good, much better than mine and I still get 60mbs from Three and 70 from EE.

Works out as 6630 which using google leads you to

CellID 1697286 translates to eNBID 6630 on 2degrees, and cellmapper shows it having B3 (1800mhz) only, however the data is stale and was last seen almost 1year ago.

If it's still applicable, eNBID 6630 is here: https://goo.gl/maps/1ypd6rPUn9ziZFpe7

As that issue by the same OP was never resolved I doubt this will will be as New Zealand 4G is not a regular subject on this UK board.

Ok, just to confirm I was never with Vodafone, 2degrees the whole time.

But an update, the fault was a bad NIC on my firewall which is a VM running pfSense.

Switched the NIC and back to 100M down.

Sorry to waste the time
