There was some recent cabling work done in my area (somewhere only ADSL <10Mbps is currently available). So,
in the beginning of November, I noticed that the BT website broadband availability checker started showing that Fibre 2 is available for my postcode/address but when I try to complete the order, I get an error message. Also, the BT wholesale broadband checker service shows that FTTC is “Planned” rather than “Available” for the cabinet for my postcode with the message “At this time, we cannot provide a delivery date for this cabinet”.
Also, comparison websites such as uswitch and cable show that fibre 2 is available for my postcode.
Why is there a discrepancy in the results of these availability checker services and does anyone have an idea of how long it takes to go from “Planned” to “Available”?
