Firstly thank you for allowing me to register on your site. I live and work (from home) in rural North Wales. My guaranteed broadband speed with BT is 1Mbps. Our village entered a CFP scheme with Openreach last year but Openreach abandoned the scheme around Christmas last year. Openreach has now partially rolled-out fibre and connected part of the village but have told our MP and local councillors that they currently have no intention to connect the rest of the village, my property included. However, in order to connect one part of the village Openreach and their contractors installed a new telegraph pole immediately outside my property and then dug up the entire length of my front verge to install an equipment chamber (adjacent to the new pole) and a conduit through which they have then fed the new fibre cable to the next telegraph pole and onwards to the FTTP-connected properties. When I check the Openreach Fibre Checker it tells me that Fibre Broadband is not available for my property. To say I am frustrated is an understatement. With other members probably experiencing similar frustrations, can anyone suggest where I go or what I do next. I have a telecoms company as a client and they tell me to check if a CBT (Connectorised Block Terminal) is fitted close by but I cannot see one nearby. Is there a way of getting Openreach to install one locally? Any help and suggestions will be very much appreciated. Thank you
