FTTP East Hertfordshire Village

Hello, I run my own online business with my partner and also run a youtube channel, thats really great for my family. Only problem we face is the FTTC we have that us 70m away is terrible, some people in the village have FTTP and thats great, very happy for them. Openreach cannot do nothing to fix the drop outs, crackly lines and slow internet. Our area is on poles, so cant understand why openreach will not upgrade us. So I'm left with waiting for my area to be upgraded. I saw BDUK said they are going to provide rural funding and get rurals online to fttp. But I've had limited response with the powers. I spoke to Kim CEO of openreach and Kim passed over the message and openreach said no plans. Im stuck and council/MPS and openreach cant help. I love the countryside, but the broadband/dab and mobile is crap.

Have you tried 4G? I'm in a rural area, and I have dropped fixed line broadband in favour of 4G, and I'm lucky enough to get 50-80Mbps down, and 20-25Mbps up. The only downside is the latency is a bit higher, but it is as cheap as ADSL2+ was.
All the main networks have unlimited data plans, and the one to use will depend on your local coverage. I use an EE unlimited business SIM only for £27+VAT pm. Three is cheaper, but generally not as fast as EE (but local conditions vary a lot).

I have but its weather dependant, but thanks for advice. Plus would need big mast to find network lol

I use a Mikrotik external directional router (I can see the mast), and get full signal strength, even though my phone doesn't.
Another option is to load balance your FTTC and 4G. That will give you the speed of 4G, but fall back to FTTC in bad weather. I used to load balance 4G and ADSL2+, but the 4G made the ADSL redundant so I cancelled it.
However, you say FTTC is 70m away - it should be fast at that distance, so I guess there may be a fault. Have you followed that up with your ISP?

My 4G would lose speed and signal during showers and snow using a Yagi array, I move to a satellite dish focused on a receiver and now the signal is rock solid whatever the weather.

Very similar to this model, made in Poland

Best for band 3

Yes and they come out, say machine is saying its fine, then go up the poll spend 4 hours up there and then say I think it maybe sorted. I run my computers on cat6 1gb network.
