FTTP OR query

Has anyone else experienced this, I had an email from OR basically saying my street was being FTTP enabled:

"Great news!

Your address is part of our Ultrafast fibre rollout programme. We'll keep you updated throughout the process as your address progresses through our build plan."

Sure enough, a fleet of OR vehicles and crews were in the area for months pulling though cable, I asked on when it would be done and he said he expected it would be ready to order in 2 weeks(ish) which is about today.

So today I checked the OR checker and the messaging has changed to:

"Never say never.

Unfortunately, your address isn't part of our current rollout programme. But don't worry, you'll be one of the first to know when our Ultrafast service arrives in your area."

I am hoping it is just a database update or something but now i am worried.

Have you checked other postcodes and addresses near you..... check google maps and see who is enabled or not.

Your postcode might be going through reset before they take orders soon

Hi Jamie, I have since checked some other address in the postcode, they are all saying the same thing - No plans. Maybe you are right about a reset (at least I hope so)

It's possible they encountered a problem, such as with power supply or blocked ducts, which might have put the deployment on pause while they investigate a possible solution. Equally some areas can take a long time to go live after you see the engineers vanish.

I have had an update from Openreach about this confirming:

"Your area is a part of a scheme to install Fibre to the Premises (FTTP) which will provide an even faster connection directly from the exchange to your property

A request has been sent to the project manager for the area for an update on if and when the FTTP service will become available

Once we have a further update , we will advise"

So no idea what is going on with the Openreach website.

Update. Excellent news, it is ready.

"Seasons 1-6 in 60 seconds?
Great news. More reliable, future-proof and faster Full Fibre (Fibre to the Premises - FTTP) is available today at this postcode."

Must have been some pre-release backend database work. Happy me!
