FTTP Roadmarkings?

Airwaves

I've noticed that around the corner from me there is a white sprayed box drawn on the footpath with N6 written in it. It also has a line drawn towards the top as well?

Not sure if it's related to me getting connected soon but further to my previous post I saw some work taking place yesterday.

Openreach were working between the larger fibre cabinet and the smaller exchange cabinet down the road from me. Two vans were present. At the larger one, they had a large reel of yellow cable which was placed down a hole nearby?

I went back about an hour later to see further but there was no trace of them.

Strangely, no work was listed on one.network.

One network only shows if there's roadworks involved. If BT are on the verge and feeding through ducting (or working through pavements), it won't show it.

https://bidb.uk/ might reflect a "coming soon" on FTTP - though it uses one.network for its roadworks data.

Thanks for the reply. I have noticed more roadmarkings so hopefully something noticable soon!

On some of the grass verges there is now OR with a X above it in white spray paint, and also a + symbol with OR BLOCK written alongside at random intervals on the pavement and near the green cabinets.

Annoyingly and I hope it's either an error or the current planning from CityFibre, but bidb lists them as planned for my area in orange higher than where I am but then stops from my street downwards. They better not be doing a Virgin on me!

Yellow cable is probably just the cable rodding , and all X and OR block markings are where they have identified blockages. Doesn't give an indication what they are doing this work for other than some cabling is likely . If they are working between the PCP and DSLAM it may just be related to FTTC .
