Not sure where you get that from. Please cite your sources. I'm next to certain that I will see a multiple fold increase if I could get G.Fast on my cabinet.
For some people it is I am in sight of my cabinet G-fast is on the cabinet yet my expected speeds was less than I get no on FTTC.

Thanks for qualifying it that it is slower for some people only. The first post was pretty much writing off the entire technology for everyone.

G.Fast are a waste of space and time because FTTC are faster than G.Fast. Better off with FTTP instead.
Yes, we have seen the availability checker give lower speeds on G.Fast compared to VDSL - in most of these cases the upload is lower.

However, we have many live circuits on G.Fast which are much faster than VDSL.

I have had the gfast install 3 days ago and i seem to be getting 148mb/s download if i transfer a file using sftp and my profile on the control pages is set to 151.7M - i'm not sure if there is any sort of 10 day training period, and not sure if it's likely to reach 160.0M - my old FTTC profile was set at 79.9M - the http://sod.ms/fast/ page gives my 179M but I'm not sure how accurate that is - speedtest.net seems to give me a lower speed of 139M74
