Well BT has enabled G.fast on my cabinet they would have been better investing in FTTP since the speeds difference between G.fast and VDSL over short distance is not acceptable in an industry that is supposed to supply the majority.
On VDSL I am in sync at 79.999Kbps down and 19.999Kbps up BT has just enabled G.fast on my cabinet my presdicted speeds are slower than VDSL. Checking the cabinet from the addresses shows inconsistancies in speeds some closer to cabinet getting slower than some further away but over all if you are ore than 4 sets of semis away from cabinet you could be slower than VDSL.
Cabinet is alongside garden for house on Chappel road first address short distance from cabinet number 1 can get 329 to 330 down impacted and 45.9 to 50 up. The attached house can get the same next door number 5 has dropped to 116.2 to 168 down with 15.3 to 30.4 up house attached is VM so no data also number 9. Number 11 shows 170.8 to 233 down with 24.1 to 47.1 up, this is confusing since some properties further away from cabinet can get better than thouse close.
1st set of semis.
Number 1, Down 329 to 330 Up 45.9 to 50
Number 3, Down 329 to 330 Up 45.9 to 50
2nd set of semis
Number 5, Down 116.2 to 168 Up 15.2 to 30.4
3rd set of semis
Number 11, Down 170.8 to 233 Up 24.1 to 47.1
4th set of semis
Number 13, Down 133.3 to 191.3 Up 18.8 to 36.6
Number 15, Down 136.3 to 195 Up 19.2 to 37.4
5th set of semis
Number 17, Down 142.3 to 201.1 Up 19.9 to 38.8
6th Set of semis
Number 21, Down 152.9 to 212.3 Up 21.7 to 42
Number 23, Down 152.9 to 212.3 Up 21.7 to 42
7th Set of semis,
Number 25, Down 155.9 to 215 Up 22.2 to 42.9
Number 27, Down 170 to 233 Up 24.1 to 47.1
8th Set of semis,
Number 29, Down 170.8 to 233 Up 24.1 to 47.1
Number 31, Down 61.2 to 93.8 Up 7.1 to 14.6 Gets faster speeds on VDSL
9th Set of semis,
Number 33, Down 170.8 to 233.5 Up 24.1 to 47.1
Number 35, Down 170.8 to 233.5 Up 24.1 to 47.1
10th Set of semis,
Number 37, Down 45.5 to 75.6 Up 5.1 to 10.7 gets faster speeds on VDSL
Number 39, Down 50.1 to 80 Up 5.6 to 12.1 shows faster speeds for VDSL
11th Set of semis
Number 41, Down 48.2 to 78 Up 5.3 to 11.4 gets faster down and up on VDSL
Number 43 Down 51.6 to 83.3 Up 5.9 to 12.7 agains faster on VDSL but also further from cabinet than next door yet faster G.fast than them.
From 45 to 55 speeds are so much slower than VDSL more so on upload number 55 is last house on this road on that cabinet the others come from cabinet other side.
Edited to add I seem to be getting the speeds of the clean on VDSL in sync at 79.999 down with 19.999 up.
