been looking at ebuyer and some more cheap sites seen low cost ie Ti4200 128 ram cards for £128
any one think these card are ok got a cheapo card in need a new one just dont want to buy a cheapo nasty card or pay more for nothing thanksall

I should think they'd be fine for normal use. I don't know of any companies with a reputation for making faulty products.

They probably reduced the price by supplying only a bare-bones software package with the card, and possibly using some cheaper components.

Just don't expect to be breaking any 3d Mark records.

*Edit* Make sure you see a picture of the card first though, and check they haven't removed the gpu fan. Noticed some budget manufacturers did that for a while, and I don't think a heatsink is enough for a Ge4.

They are good cards mate. For price per performance they are about the best you can get about now.It could be an OEM(no box our fancy software) card thats why you are getting a good price,by the way i've seen them for lower than this tho.So don't be worried about the price cause thats about right give or take a tenner.Personally i swear by my ATI 8500 but thats my personal choice.P.S 3D mark is as much to do with the rest of your system (cpu, memory)as it is to do with your Vid card.Any question go to www.sharkyforums.com and post they have alot of very good people on there that should be able to answer each and all your questions.

thanks seen lots of brands and prices all cards have a pic and such just getting ready for ut2003

I have put 2 G4 TI4200 cards in recently both made by Leadtek. Performance is about the same as my ATI Radeon 8500 (fast enough) and build quality appears to be good.

These boards have a very heavy wrap-around heatsink with a reasonably quiet fan over the GPU. The memory is also covered by the heatsink assembly so I guess this helps reduce the risk of memory failure by over heating.

These boards are good performers for the price, give them a try, you do get a standard 1 year warranty... :)

IP can I just ask why were you asking if a Geforce4 Ti is good enough?

Those acrds as mentioned here already offer like the best performance/price ratio out there, and they are very easy to overclock to standard Ti4600 levels.

Save yourself the extra cash on a higher-grade card and just overclock this one.
Oh, and FarmerGiles has the right idea, go for the Leadtech or for a tiny bit more get a Gainward Golden Sample version.

simple seen loads ofcards same card some times £100 more er like good or bad so i ask here
lot of poeple here know a lot more than me simple and easy free advice its the best try getting that in most shops and poeple here are so helpfull
Thank you all i ask i learn

Alot of stuff I've got from Ebuyer in the past has been OEM.Which is fine by me. :)
I'm still on a geforce 2 400MX here so I'll be looking in the not too distant future too.
The Ti4200 seems like a good buy, personnally I'd just go for the cheapest you won't notice the difference anyway unless your into benchmarking in which case you wouldn't be here asking. :)

I've been looking at the TI 4400 there is quite a big price difference from the TI 4600 for very little loss in performance

IP are you into overclocking anyway m8?

There's a lovely free program for overclocking your GeForce cards from windows called Geforce Tweaker, where you can change core frequency and Ram frequency.
Get itHere
