They now have an addy?

On the contact us page, at the bottom:

Geo Internet
Suite 126
Great Underbank
Stockport
SK1 1LE

Has anyone noticed the comparison table with the very out of date 2004 prices for other ISPs: http://www.geointernet.co.uk/bb_comparison.php?packagetypeid=1
with the caption "All prices correct at time of going to press"!!!!

If this is Gio then I think its an absolute disgrace and an absolute cheek! As an ex-Gio customer with all that happened, this really angers me - we can only hope that no innocent victims fall for Geo's cheap prices!

Well done everyone on ISPr for such a well researched and informative thread - keep it up you guys and gals!!!

Contact Us ??

There is no customer service or sales telephone number on the contact us ?

I think the address is fake cos they expect everyones to sign up the lowest broadband price of 1Mb £9.99 or 2Mb £13.99 (with 100% unlimited) and then they will kept continue to taking out money of their customers and will never reply via email or letter.

Where is the customer service email address ?

I think that the government should banned isp who are not registered under VAT license.

That address appeared to be a mail box service. I completely missed the date on the comparison table, a neat trick - it makes them look even cheaper and suggests they've been trading for longer too.

I couldn't see any kind of postal address for their BBC service http://www.bbc247.co.uk

Just to let you all know, OFCOM are investigating geo internet and they have been informed of the research that has coming to light on this forum. Keep up the good work, I'm sure they will appreciate any information that will help in their enquiries.

We must remember though that they might be trading legally, so be careful how you word your comments.

This afternoon for the first time in since I joined virgin.net I received a spam email the 'paris hylton type'. It had an attatchment that contained a virus but was picked up by virgins filters and deleted.

It seems very suspicious that having this week received four emails from geo and now this spam. Are the two linked? are our emails being traded to fund geo?

It could be simple luck....
I have had nothing to do with Geo in any guises and I got a couple of virus emails in the last couple of days.....It may be just a new list going around

I'm sure ofcom would like to know the info I have as a ex employee of Giointernet/Gioserve/Activeware/ET global/Hauka/Hauka UK/Hauka (pvt)/ and I have done support for over 20 of the vISP's that Hauka corp had and btw funnly enough the MD or one of the directors was the same person behind all of them?

I noticed that on bbc247.co.uk they had the T&C but if you scroll all the way down to the bottom greyed out is this

Minimum period of service is thirty (30) days. If termination occurs within the first twelve (12) months from the commencement date, a termination fee of £60 + VAT will be payable.
All prices are per month and include VAT @ 17.5% unless otherwise stated

Virtually making this a 12 month contract

Perhaps you could enlighten us as to the manner in which you left Hauka. I think a former employee of Hauka who was sacked for gross misconduct or any other negative manner would impact upon ones integrity when commenting upon them.

Hi Root

This is a grey area Root this might not be the ex-Gio employee that was dismissed and as such your post can be seen as libel.

Can we not get personal on this point and keep on topic

Hi Root,

I appologise to the forum admin before i start as i feel like i have been wronged when trying to help the users and the admin to figure out the big question on everybodys lips.

You have been known to bark up the wrong tree in the past from what i have noticed on here and i would advise you that libel can not only be threatened by Charles Holland but by myself aswell.

One thing that has crossed my mind Root is why are you so bothered unless you are still associated with Hauka?

Is this why you are trying to slur my good name?

I remember a person who used to post very simalar things to what you have, if i remember rightly it was LOADeathBoy are you one and the same as they was a manager for Hauka aswell.

You would think that after all that gio had put its users through they wouldnt come back and insult people drawing attention to themselves but try and fade away, how wrong i was and how wrong we was thinking gio had gone for good.

That is all good and well, you are entitled to an opinion as well as I. However, my suspicions are only reinforced since despite your ranting you have failed to answer a basic question?

I don't actually know who you are (and I don't really care). However, I feel that people have the right to know under what circumstances you left Hauka's employment as a guage to how balanced your opinion may or may not be.

In reference to myself being part of Hauka, I can confirm that I was an employee and am now very happily self employed with NO connection to Gio or Geo. Perhaps you may like to answer the original question since I am not stating you were sacked, but am enquiring if this was the case?

And i still ask what it is to do with you? Being the old tech manager and all, who liked to sack people and make it sound really bad, just so you would have dirt on them, you was never my boss to sack me so that rules that one out, im not a user of ebay either!!!

Doesnt this show exactly what the management was like? I have come clean to all the users and helped alot in the past and you post from nowhere, I ask why is this any of your concern?

I resigned due to the poor management and had a heart and wasnt able to do the job any more due to my moral values continue and i will be filing a libel case.

Same branding etc.

The logo's are slightly different, one has a small circle with a curve over the top, the other is a small square with a line. SO are they one and the same or are they trying to pass themselves off?

Has anyone contacted Geo.tv (or otherwise found out) if they are definitely associated with geointernet / nahda or not?

If not do you think the logos are different enough to avoid trademark infringement?

By the time OFCOM do anything (if they do anything) many people will already be stung, and have the same old problems contacting people to cancel, and maybe have debt collectors around. And Geo will close, and then maybe later open up again and start all over again.

And Root, all Man of means said was that the same person was behind all those ISPs, he didnt actually say anything about them. Makes you wonder why you suddenly jump to the defense of Geo.
