Gigaclear East Hertfordshire

I have been in contact with gigaclear for years after two years ago I thought we was finally getting fibre to my home when they dug the road up. They sacked the contractors and now been on ice for two years, the network team and directors are on a different level, directors and managers say it's dead in the water, the network team do not know anything and tell me they are coming to my village, then delay and delay and give an excuse. They came 6 years ago now and installed it all around us and left us to it. I run a full time online business, and I'm full time YouTube creator, I need big broadband that we don't have. I will be very sad if gigaclear cannot install fibre. The fibre from gigaclear is 7 miles away and surrounded with fields.

Your position will depend on your specific post code and whether you already have "Superfast" broadband. It is my understanding that the most recent connected counties contracts went to Openreach. If there are outstanding works under these contracts then there is a good chance it will be FTTP.

However if you are already covered by this project then other than Gig vouchers not much will change until it is picked up either on commercial or DCMS sponsored "Gigabit Capable". There does not appear to be any OR Fibre First activity in your nearest towns.

Gigaclear probably have no incentive to expand their network if there are no subsidies on offer. I assume Giga Vouchers could be used to initiate either an OR or a Gigaclear project.
