I want to backup various drivers I have on some systems.
In some cases, I cannot find them on the web.
So, in device manager I select the device (say a raid device) and right click. Choose 'properties' and then click on the driver tab.
Then click on the 'Driver details' button.
Now, this tells me where it is (generally in the windows\system32\drivers folder) and what the driver file name is.
My question, is that if I back that file up to a CD or memory stick, will I be able to use it in future. For a fresh installation?
Or would some devices need more than that, as some have large install files?
