They've finally enabled HD Voicemail. Happy days.
Vodafone's Voicemail system was NB only until recently. If I call in from Three or EE to a Vodafone voicemail it is HD Voice.Wait, was Voicemail on Vodafone never in HD/Wideband? I use it so infrequently that I wouldn't have noticed.
Do other networks have this in HD already?
I used to be the same CarlO1460, but they have me looking at the screen when making or receiving a call now, just to see the HD icon, so I guess I'm now officially a saddo, personally I hold Bubbles responsible for all this ridiculous codec malarkey. How do you people even come across this stuff?
I never stare at my phone when making a call, if I can hear the other end - all good, not fussed on HD quality if I can hear what they saying.
In the odd event I ever get a voicemail, same applies![]()
Weirdly, if I call my Vodafone vm from my Voda SIM it's definitely NB. Even if I call from a 3 (SMARTY) sim to the Voda vm number it's still NB. That's really odd :SVodafone's Voicemail system was NB only until recently. If I call in from Three or EE to a Vodafone voicemail it is HD Voice.
Three, EE and (almost) O2 have had HD Voicemail for a bit now.

HD or I don't want it. Night and day difference, as someone who makes and takes a lot of phone calls.I used to be the same CarlO1460, but they have me looking at the screen when making or receiving a call now, just to see the HD icon, so I guess I'm now officially a saddo, personally I hold Bubbles responsible for all this ridiculous codec malarkey.![]()

That's really odd. It was Vodafone voicemail for someone I was calling (a missed call) so it may be a misnomer.Weirdly, if I call my Vodafone vm from my Voda SIM it's definitely NB. Even if I call from a 3 (SMARTY) sim to the Voda vm number it's still NB. That's really odd :S
I'm sure you'd do unholy things for absolutely anything, never mind HD+ voice.HD or I don't want it. Night and day difference, as someone who makes and takes a lot of phone calls.
As you all know I would do unholy things for HD+ voice
O2 doesn't currently, they might do when you leave a voicemail but calling 901 certainly isn't in HD (I have the HD Voice icon enabled).Wait, was Voicemail on Vodafone never in HD/Wideband? I use it so infrequently that I wouldn't have noticed.

O2 are supposedly rolling it out, that's why I said almost for them. It's strange Vodafone will allow you to record in HD (again supposedly) but not listen in HD.O2 doesn't currently, they might do when you leave a voicemail but calling 901 certainly isn't in HD (I have the HD Voice icon enabled).

Think EE has HD voicemail.
Correct.Phoning 3 numbers on EE still only works on NB unless the 3 number was imported from VF or O2. If a 3 number rings EE then it will be HD
I want a Vodafone number on my Three line tbh.The temptation to request a new number from Vodafone so I'd have a non-ported over number and just one that's native from Vodafone to make things simpler lol
So... I actually did it. I bit the bullet yesterday and changed the number I've had for over 12 years. So now, it's a fresh Vodafone number. The first call I make to my wife who is also a Vodafone customer (ported from EE to Vodafone) is immediately HD or HD+ in quality. I feel so annoyed for perhaps not doing this sooner. I'm midway through a contract so can't keep the old number sadly but gives me a chance to get rid of some spam callsThe temptation to request a new number from Vodafone so I'd have a non-ported over number and just one that's native from Vodafone to make things simpler lol
Did the sides of your mouth touch you ears at your new call quality?So... I actually did it. I bit the bullet yesterday and changed the number I've had for over 12 years. I was like the Cheshire cat that had all the cream WeeBear haha. Moving over from EE about 2 years ago where most calls were that juicy HD or HD+ (with a handful of robot voice) to having NB or sometimes HD if I was lucky, was making me an unhappy camperDid the sides of your mouth touch you ears at your new call quality?![]()
