Hi all
Hoping someone can help or advise here as I am tearing my hair out
Please bear with my ramble below
I had a TP Link Archer MR600 which was until recently working perfectly fine with the occasional drop out which we put down to bad weather but then it started to drop the LTE connection continuously throughout the day.. After spending a bunch of time on the internet, I found that this was a common problem so made the decision to buy something else and one of the options that came up frequently was the B818 router.. So I managed to find one on eBay and ordered it but in the meantime I had to get connectivity as the MR600 couldn't stay connected for even 10mins, so I went to Currys and had a choice of a single router which was another damn Archer but this time a MR200 so I bought that till I received the Huawei.. Got home, plugged it in to the mesh network and it worked first time and was giving me better speeds than the MR600.. Happy days..
Two days later I received the Huawei, so unpacked it and plugged it in, factory reset it, and connected up to the mesh network expecting it to work. It registered that there was a Deco device connected, the Deco turned green and I connected my phone to the mesh wifi and got a connection, but with no internet.. And that is where it ended.. I tried resetting both the router and deco unit to factory standards, no luck.. I connected my laptop directly to the router via ethernet and got connectivity.. i connected my laptop to the routers wifi and got connectivity.. i connected the laptop to the deco unit via ethernet, and got no connectivity.. I tried to set the router to bridge mode (not 100% sure what that is but it came up a lot on google searches), and then nothing worked..
I then removed the Huawei and reconnected the MR200, reset the deco mesh and everything worked fine again..
So I am stumped.. Unfortunately I don't know much about the advanced settings within the router (and I couldn't find any detailed manual online to help either) to try get it to work so I am hoping someone can help advise on here
Thanks in advance..
Simon
