Need help with locating sites on Vodafone? Post them here in this megathread to declutter the forums.

Whether you need someone to find where a site is or need someone to locate a site for you since you don't have enough Cellmapper points, be sure to post them here.

I'll see if I can retain a list of sites that need help below, but it might be worth scrolling to the most recent posts.

Sites that need help currently: none

Think I ended up figuring out 21801. It wasn't helpful that the mast has listings of EE cells on it (0-2 and then 12-14 iirc).

I believe it's by Taplow station on the A4 and I've located it there. O2 did also connect to that site so it would make sense. Will decommission the old O2 host eNB.

Hammersmith, W6
Could 20220 also be located at Charing Cross Hospital? When I had Voxi last year, I used to get 6580, but these days I usually get 20220 from the same locations, although 6580 can still appear sometimes.

Yeah, seems about right.

I suspect 6580 might still broadcast on B20 only, same happens here with 2929/16484 (where 2929 broadcasts B20 and 16484 broadcasts B1+8)

(apparently I've seen that site on O2)

I would let you know about Charing cross hospital, but I have nothing there to go to (currently anyway) and given it's a long travel time from here to there I wouldn't unnecessarily travel in

Also @hassaanhc, are you sure 3577 and 3691 are picos? Seems more like macros to me or a DAS

I think you may be right about B20 on 6580, I'll try and keep an eye on which bands it uses when connected to those two eNBs.

They appear to be these boxes, so I suppose they could be for a DAS at Craven Cottage.

3577: https://maps.app.goo.gl/7ReXTD1Ppgrsm3sEA?g_st=ac3691: https://maps.app.goo.gl/aKEjKdL5BNAjSZqv6?g_st=ac

O2 also have their versions, 103577 and 103691, mapped by comparing with the coverage checker on their website. 103691 may be visible near the roof of the stand (behind where 3691 is) but 103577 isn't visible from the road.

Yeah, I think a DAS would make more sense

I don't generally find that pico cells go so far (take this with a grain of salt considering the only ones I have to test with are operator stores).

I believe 197/18187 (hoping I remember the second one correctly) has the same issue as well.

I believe My Network should show the individual cells in a DAS system?

Can anyone who's better at understanding Cellmapper than me, work out if 22014 is at an auto-calculated location or been manually placed? Just wondering because I drove past it this afternoon and I'm pretty sure there's no mast there 🤔

If it's auto calculated it will show as red (estimated location)

Ok, it's green thanks 😂 but in an empty field…

Wonder how it came to be marked there? does Cellmapper ever pick up temporary cells?

I looked around, O2 has one mapped there as well.

On Google maps street view you're unable to see the mast because of the trees. Zooming out a bit does have something in the distance, I can't tell if it is a mast or not though.

I think this is the application for it if you're familiar with the area Gache.

Check out the site location and see if it helps.
It does thanks, it's marked in exactly the right place. I just need to grow a brain and remember that phone masts can hide behind trees 🙄

X marks the spot, as they say. ( @Pixelpetal, the pole in the hedge is a power line 😉)

Thanks everyone, the cabaret will now retire for the night and you can all return to your regularly scheduled entertainment…
