How does Virgin Media indentify and validate individual cable ethernet customers?

I have two identical flats (one above the other) and am about to move from one to the other while I do some work to my current abode. Currently I'm connected to VirginM on their fastest BB connection and as others have reported here it's necessary to connect to the Superhub2 via ethernet to get the max speeds. My previous tenants of the the other flat also used VM and I'm wondering if I can just shift the Superhub to the other coax box to continue using Ethernet without involving VM? (I can receive WiFi on both 2.4 gHz and 5gHz in the other flat but it's slower and much more prone to drop-outs) I assume that Virgin use the MAC address of the SHb to identify the connection? --or do they also do some actual wiring at the street box?

It is just a broadcast network / cable.
If the other location is on the same cabinet in the street then moving the hub will work just fine*. (And is identified by the MAC of the modem in the SuperHub).

(*Might even work if you go further afield too!)
