How dumb to they think we are??

I was just clearing out my spam box when I found this; why would anyone believe a UN lottery, based in London, would use an office in "the African Union", OR that the UN collects the email address of EVERYONE using the internet!!

PS, it resolves to a Yahoo account in Hong Kong.

Why would anyone believe it, you ask?

Well, of course, no person in possession of at least some mildly pulsating object embedded in their head which meets the minimum standards required to qualify as a "brain" would - but the world is absolutely full of gullible suckers who will fall for anything, and greedy scumbags little better than the spammers who will take a chance on becoming Mr Loadsamoney on the optimistic basis that "You never know - this one might be genuine".

By the way, do let me know if you fancy getting rich overnight by investing in my new company which, yours truly having spotted a "gap in the market", just cannot fail, won't you?
I do, of course, have the financial backing of Alan Sugar, Rupert Murdoch and other top industry figures, and our thoroughly environmentally friendly operation will be devoted to manufacturing breathing equipment to sell to dolphins, so that they won't have to go to the trouble of surfacing in future.

OMG I WON £650,500.00 .

/me attempts to contact the company.

I also quite like the idea of Gordon's new business, sounds like a growth market, what with the impending Dolphin apocalypse and all. I keep warning people about it but nobody seems to listen.

Sounds a bit fishy to me. You don't think this could possibly be a scam, do you?
