how long does it take for Virgin PIA installs?

It took me two weeks after sending Lit Fibre emails with photos of the CBT in the chamber that serves me, with another photo of the engineers power meter showing light, before they updated their database.

There seems to be a default status of only believing internal comms rather than what the people who know the area can see.
Lit fibre emails? Is this virgin or another isp?

As in Lit Fibre the ISP. You aren't alone with the engineering teams on the ground not feeding things back to the companies that hired them to do the job.

Ah I see!! Weird thing is that I have that text!! From virgin 😂 that’s what annoys me the most! I need to figure out how to get in touch with someone, trials are definitely started around it was told by the ask trials, but without actually getting hold of anyone I won’t have any luck :/

If you're really stuck @Martyn give me a shout. I know a fairly senior manager there and a fair few of the engineering team from when I worked there.
It would be much appreciated, send me a pm if what info you need?

Thanks again

Hmm. It goes that way I look forward to hearing about it and, accordingly, bending ears. No good reason why it shouldn't beyond epic communications failures. This should be at least to an extent handled by automated processes by now.

you'd think so wouldn't you, since its a new virgin area, I've only ever seen 1 installer van, and it's just around the corner from me, the guy used to work for Sky before, so I assume he's moved over, used to speak to him often when working as a postie, but not so much any more, I also couldn't of made the job of the installer easier, trucking/pull cord to location? simples right? :)

I had a random pm on virgin forums, and the guy confirmed everything is ready so.. seems like 17th will happen hopefully, shame its not sooner >.<

strange out of all the people who I've contacted, a forum guy confirms everything has been sorted "externally"

extremely sus, it definitely was completed on 14/4 maybe they only just updated the database/internal systems >.< it's a shame as I was probably one of the first people to that was going to get it installed, now probably nearer one of the last people.

everything is crossed, whats more annoying is the installer that'll do it lives real close, drive past the virgin van constantly lol, just around the corner! shame I'm not a postie anymore used to speak to him all the time when he worked for Sky.
