Huawei B311s - daisy chain access points

Hi, new here. Just taken delivery of a Three Homefi Huawei B311 router to overcome our dismal home broadband speeds. First impression: great speeds, over 30mbs compared to around 1mbs with Plusnet or EE (we have two lines). Question is, how do I connect my existing daisy chain of access points? We have a couple of TP link access points which have to date just plugged into a spare ethernet socket in either the plusnet or EE router and we have an extended network throughout the house. However, when I plug the cable into the (single) ethernet port in the back of the Huawei, the Huawei stops working and I get nothing on the access points. Is there something I need to change in the Huawei settings? Something else? Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

The first thing to check is that the LAN port actually behaves in normal use, such as when you wire it up to a computer/laptop. Also by "stops working" do you mean the whole router crashes or only the WiFi stops?

Generally speaking if you've got a WiFi AP device then they're usually designed to take over the WiFi via their own signal, which means you might need to switch-off the WiFi on your B311 before connecting it and then probably run some sort of setup routine on the WiFi AP (it's probably still configured for your other network and the new router will be different).

At least that's my guess, it's hard to know as I don't own that specific kit.

Thanks. By fiddling around with the cables it now all works - I think I may have switched the input for an output. This has transformed our internet access.
