Huawei B535 changing it's ip Web login

I've had no end of trouble tonight getting the B535 playing nice with the BT whole home WiFi.

It's been fine for 6 months up until relocating the hardware tonight. Everything would connect, but without Internet access.

Anyway things are finally working again but the upshot is the router has changed it's ip from 192.168.8.1 to 192.168.9.1

Why would it do this and what caused it?

I’m guessing it’s an automatic thing and for some reason it’s thought (maybe incorrectly if it’s unexpected) that there’s another network device with its own IP and has automatically changed it to eliminate IP conflicts.

I’ve personally not had this happen so it’s just an assumption. May be part of Huawei’s Link+ mechanism.

Ive just had this happen too. And the admin password may have changed too. I cant log in

The only way I've found of solving this is to disconnect everything then reset the router, let it reconnect to the internet, then reconnect everything.
