Huawei are releasing new routers soon and there will new 5G router coming out soon.

We have seen many users on the forum who have bought the cpe pro 2 but if anyone is deciding to buy a cpe pro 2 I think I will hold back. i have said on my other thread that cause of chipset problems due to USA ban they may have stopped production of the cpe pro 2 as compenies are finding it hard to get hold of stock.

I really wanted to buy the cpe pro 2 but now seems like if I do buy the cpe pro 2 I will be wasting money cause Huawei are going to release a new 5G router soon.

Read hear for more details https://www.huaweicentral.com/huawei-certifies-new-routers-with-upto-100w-of-power-supply/

The information does not give exact details about the 5G router mostly likely there will be and Huawei holds the most 5G patents in the world.

My first thought the high wattage could be because Huawei are having to use older fab nodes - TSMC got approval to supply Huawei with 28nm based chips (current fabs are on 5nm!) and with older nodes also comes higher power requirements.
