"Huawei Monitor" is now "LTE H-Monitor"

Well it does explain it as I cant think of any other reason it wont work seems they have updated their configs as the AI Cube allowed it. Thanks for the prompt response - Google got me less than nowhere :D
No problem; I recall it not working with a 5G hub I had but I returned that as it was duff.

Not one to drag up and old thread... or maybe I am, I have LTE-H on my windows pc all seems well until I try and apply and save the bands to specifically 3 & 20. In the bottom left corner in red it says 'bad request'

The saved new settings are not saved, the connection drops and reconnected with a new IP, but the software and the router default to band 3 only.
I can't get the device to 4G+ (which it was before I fiddled)
Changing the upload band does not save either.
Router is a B818-263.
Staying on band 3 whilst fast, is not overly stable and I find that the internet drops out completely after maybe a day or so, seems like the lease on my ip expires and I need to force the device to get another one.

Any help please?

Bad request can be linked to a login issue, something else is logged in like a phone running an app or you need to select in LTEmonitor in the Login section: advanced: Method API. Reboots can also clear it.

Thank you Kommando. I've set the program to API and see how we fair.

Wonder if you have any knowledge on ip lease times for three and the possible reason why I need to force a new IP every so often.

API on the device defaulted to 3internet, which is fine with me as I get an outside IP and not double NAT.

The B818-263 has the ability to set the bands used itself, within the web interface under 'Network Settings'; 'Mobile Network Searching' and then 'LTE band mode'. I have used LTE-Monitor to play with the bands on the B818 in the past and had similar issues and got it back to 4G+ by setting the router back to 'Auto' in this section then using the B818 choices to select a variety of bands. Having played with the LTE program and the B818's own interface, I found the B818 to be more reliable at setting bands (on an EE sim) - so only use LTE Monitor on some of the other Huawei routers I play with (on Three sims).
Similar problems to you with getting Three to stick on 4G+ - however, the issue, for me, appeared to relate to the router 'flitting' between 2 masts on Three - the mast with decent Band 3 reception was closer (but not line of sight) but the signal was being 'drowned' by a mast much further away (but possibly better LOS) on B20 (but no B3 apparently or just too far away). Only got round it by finding a spot in the house which 'couldn't see' the mast blasting out B20 and while the signal is slightly worse, the router was able to aggregate B3 and B20 from the closer mast.

Thanks for the response Oriodec.

The local mast I connect to has both band 20 and 3 enabled, cell mapper shows a rough guide on signal for each band with 20 being the most domonent for my location. I dont have LOS to the mast as I live in a dip.
I've looked into an external aerial but the height of the pole would be excessive.

I've attached a schot from CellMapper and also what the Huawei stats look like on forced band 3 only.
I don't begin to know what these mean, perhaps they are too high/low for anything amazing?

Another thing I forgot to mention was that the router is in bridge mode. I use my Unifi Dream Machine Pro and Unifi ecosystem for everything.

Not to open the new topic... Is there a way to contact the LTE H-monitor author to ask a few questions? It seems strange on the DL and info page there is absolutely no contact...

I have 2 H122-373 Huawei routers.

One is from Germany with firmware 11 and one is from Slovenia (my country) with firmware 10.0.5.1, which seems very old.

The router from Germany gets me like 140 Mb DL and the one from Slovenia gets me 70 Mb download. It has to be the different firmware.

Is there any way to put different firmware on the modem?

I also tried the LTE H-monitor, both modems seems the same, but none has the radio working. On both the network mode stays to AUTO even when I change it. Only the download bands of 4G I can change and they stay. What about the n-bands of 5G, they can not be changed (limited)?

Modems differ also in one other thing, the 5G mode in Slovenian version can be set to NSA or SA. SA does not work. German modem can not be changed, it is ghosted.

I would really like to have the v11 firmware on the Slovenian modem, is there any way to do it?

Bit crap, will only seem to run if there is internet access. Which if you are playing about with band lock, you may not have access. Leaving you in the poop. Stupid. Does anyone know if the huaCtrl producer has made anything for Windows? I'd like to be able to play about with the router while at the computer and not just while ive got my phone on me

I have used LTE h monitor with Huawei routers from Three with great success, keeping me locked on the best mast.
Three sent me a ZTE mf286d (4G) with a new contract - can anyone point me to a similar program for this please?
Or a way to do what I need.
It is drifting between three masts and losing / gaining continuously.

I think there is a Java script around similar to that for the MC801A. Try doing a search on YouTube for the Miononno hacks.
Try this:

I use a bookmark to choose bands on my 286D. I can't for the life of me remember where i found it though as i've had it set up for a few months now.
Bookmark name: whatever you want
link: Copy and paste the script below. Once logged in, click the bookmark and a box will pop up. Click "Set" and type the bands you want.

I deleted the script, was a bit messed up. There was a smily face in there somewhere. I'll attach a . txt file instead

Newbie here using the paid version of the monitor with a Huawei H122-373 currently on Vodafone.

I have the settings on default. Does anyone have the time to advise me about any improvements I could make in the quest for extra stability and/or speed?

I am not experiencing any problems as I am near a mast and getting download speeds in the 100 to 200 range - but there may be tricks I am missing.

Normally you should not modify anything if you are happy with the service.
Most of the changes you can do relate to band "locking", but even these do not survive reboots and sometimes get undone even without one.

Thanks Lucian.

"If it aint broke" reply. I like it.

If you have a moment can you tell me what the four lines in the bottom chart are telling me. I saw them move upwards a bit when I moved from Three to Vodafone yesterday. Was that a good or bad signal?
