Hyperoptic problems. Any advice?

Quick summary. In an area with FTTC but no FTTP planned. Keen to get FTTP for a long time.

Hyperoptic laid FTTP cabling meters from my house mid 2021. Spoke to the guy laying the cables who said I should be able to order in a few months.

Took until December 2021 and frequent contact for them to finally update their website to allow me to order. To be fair to them they came out the next day and tried to install but failed due to a blocked duct.

They said that they'd book to get the duct unblocked and it would take a couple of weeks. This was 14th of December, it's now 3.5 months later.

I spoke to the engineers who I saw not long after the attempted install and they said that they were waiting for a 'cost analysis approval' and showed me a spreadsheet.

They've twice now arranged appointments for the duct to be unblocked and for the install to happen, so I took time off work and waited in all day, only for them to claim that I shouldn't have booked the appointments because it was never going ahead. It was them who arranged these appointments.

After numerous calls to hyperoptic all they can tell me is that it's being delayed due to a 'cost analysis' and that they can't tell me more than that and i'll just have to wait indefinitely. The engineers told me that I was the second customer to order in my area.

Very frustratingly, you can see their map for approved installs, which were clearly booked in way after mine, and they are all at buildings which have many flats in them.

It seems clear to me that they are very quick to install to those who live in flats which would be way more profitable, but it is very frustrating to have waited years for a service only to be basically ignored.

If they would even talk to me they'd find that I'd be more than prepared to pay for some or all of the cost to unblock a single duct.

Does anyone have any advice on how I should proceed? Unfortunately due to the pathetic state of the FTTP rollout in the UK, hyperoptic are the only ISP that is even close to offering gigabit speeds at my home, which is in a big scottish city if that matters. If I had any choice whatsoever I wouldn't give them a penny given how much I've been messed around.
