I Need Broadband But Moving House

Hi all,

I have a problem that I am currently on dial up after having problems with a recent provider. I need a broadband provider but only for 2 - 3 months then I am moving house. I have been looking at a few providers and two which I like the look of are Namesco/NDO and UKFSN. The thing is I don't want to have to pay for 2 £50 setup fees. Neither of these companies say anything about moving house and if there is a transfer fee, so I just presumed that because they are only 1 month contracts that I have to cacel when I move house then reconnect again. This is going to cost me quite a bit just in a couple of months so can anyone help me? Or can anyone advise on a different broadband provider to go with for the 2 - 3 months I am still in my curent home for. By the way I am moving just across the road from my current house so it will still be on the same exchange if that makes a diference.

Any help is much appreciated.

Do virgin have any cancellation fees if I cancel within 12months for instance, because Namesco/NDO state 1 month contract but if you cancel within the first 12 months you have to pay a cancellation fee which is quite miss leading.

I believe Virgin charge about £50 to cover the BT activation fee if you cancel in the first 12 months.

There are one or two ISPs that will (or would last time I looked) pay for the new activation when you move house if you want to keep their service. Zen was one but they do charge for activation when you join them, but then again you get a monthly contract. Another one you might look at is http://www.freedom2surf.net/adsl/homeuser.php?is=m1hbb I believe some of their packages are only subject to a three month contract: Do check the terms and conditions for catches though.

UKFSN any good?

I don't mind paying one activation fee it's paying for a second that I would be peeved off about, especially just in a small space of time. I would like to go with UKFSN because I think it has a great deal with the MAX 30GB package at £20 but I am wondering whether they will be able to transfer me for free when I move house. Anyway I've emailed them to see just waiting for a reply. Can anyone recommend UKFSN I know their website looks a bit shoddy but they have good reviews out of the few they have.

why not phone these companies and explain the situation some isps will transfer your account to your new address but the ones that do ar few and far between
