Try humyo.com
Hi
Brickel4,
I consider that
reliability & security at a reasonable price are the most important features of an online backup supplier.
I have been using
humyo.com for about 7 months and am very happy with their service. Their storage is based in an ex-Bank-of-England gold bullion vault in Manchester and they have recently been bought by Trend Micro.
Theirs is a "real time" backup service, using "humyo Smart Drive". That means that changes made to computer files are immediately updated online; so backups are always up to date. Files & folders can also be manually backed up using their web interface.
I would advise you try them on a monthly subscription (100GB for £4.69) and if you are happy with the service & can afford to do so, "upgrade" to the annual subscription (100GB for £46.99) at an equivalent monthly cost of a mere £3.92. That's what
I did.
When you delete a file on your computer, humyo puts it into a "recycle bin" in the online storage, so you can restore from the bin, or empty the recycle bin to free up online space. Having said that,
I am only making use of about 25% of the 100GB capacity I pay for.
I am using Windows 7 64-bit & humyo works beautifully on my old PC.
