Independent fibre networks appearing in my area

Just checked BIDB and one.network and I see OFNL / Independent fibre networks listed as doing duct cleaning works in an area of Bedford.

I've seen no indication that they were doing anything in town. I know Netomnia are planning to do a FTTP install here at some point in the future. Does anyone know how I can find out more info, a rollout map ? I tried googling but came up short.

Checking post codes on their website leads to sorry we don't cover your postcode message. Same for putting in a post code where they're doing the work itself. Might they be doing something on behalf of Openreach? but Openreach contracted John Henry Group to deploy FTTP here.

Have you tried reaching out to Netomnia?

They might be interested in doing it sooner if you can get people to register interested.

I heard the gigabit voucher scheme was paused so this might be an issue.

Yep registered my interest with them.

Is there any new build developments nearby?
Yes. And this was in the reply I got from them too so it looks like they're not an option for me. Reply I got was:

Thanks for the email and we deliver services to new build developments and do not overbuild locations so unless you are on an OFNL served site then we will not be connecting to your location.

I know we have quite a few sites in Bedford. My suggestion is you and a number of neighbours approach Openreach to ask when they can provide FTTP in your area.
Regards,

Oh well.
