Installing Win11 on non compliant PC

Google pushed this page to me as a suggestion.

By making an entry into your non compliant PC's registry the checks for TPM and CPU etc minimum's are over ridden. Downside is that security updates may be stopped in the future.

Take note that there is a performance issue on W11 AMD systems with TMP enabled at the moment:

My machine uses an AMD A10-6700 APU launched in 2013 - it's not exactly a performer anyway, even if it did have a TPM

The only box I’m running it on is my MacBook under Parallels. Seems to do OK for an officially unsupported platform 😂

Glad I didn't bother upgrading then! Knew from the start the TPM lark was a pointless Microsoft exercise disguised as a security requirement.

MS plan a nag watermark to nag you to upgrade to a fully Win11 compliant PC. No doubt a hack will get rid of it but Chromebook for PC's in the form of Chromeflex sounds a better option if its developed enough by the time Win10 is unsupported.

I still fail to see why Windows 11 was even needed.......after 10 attempts they'd reached perfection.

Trust me, that's high praise from me. But DOS 5 could have been improved upon. Windows 10, by including a feature update maybe, but not by enough to warrant a new OS IMHO. I get the impression the requirements were designed as a reason for making it an "ALL NEW OS" when in reality its just a face-lifted windows 10 that didn't need any of them.

I have read that if you install by-passing the TPM, there is no guarantee Win11 Service Updates will work.
I wouldnt be surprised if MS were to disable those unauthorised machines

Been trying this on my surface. Doesn't work for me :(
I've tried several hacks now. None work on it. Ah well. Not buying Microsoft laptops again. It's only 3 years old!

That’s fairly rubbish for a 3 year old machine.

The four year old Surface Pro 6 definitely supports Windows 11 officially as do the newer ones, the five year old Surface and older devices do not. Which Surface do you have?

After the big problems they had getting people moved off Windows XP and 7 I'm puzzled why they're making it so restrictive to get people onto Windows 11 as they're creating the same problem again.
